Affiliate Disclosure

Our comparisons are written to help you make informed choices, not to reward brands for favorable coverage.

Versuscope is supported in part by affiliate commissions. We believe it is important to explain how these relationships work, what they mean for readers, and why they do not determine our product comparisons or recommendations.

Our affiliate disclosure

Some links on Versuscope are affiliate links. If you follow one of these links and make a qualifying purchase, we may receive a commission from the retailer or affiliate program. This does not add any extra cost to your purchase. You are free to use our comparisons without buying anything through our links.

As Amazon Associates, we earn from qualifying purchases.

This statement identifies our participation in the Amazon Associates program. We may also use affiliate links from other retailers or services when relevant to a comparison.

No paid placements. No sponsored comparisons.

Brands cannot purchase influence over what appears on Versuscope or how a comparison turns out. Our policy separates product research and scoring from affiliate income.

No paid inclusion

No brand can pay to have its product added to a comparison, selected for coverage, or given extra prominence in the editorial analysis.

No paid matchups

No brand can pay to be compared with a particular rival, avoid a particular rival, or influence how competing products are paired.

No paid winners

No brand can pay for a higher score, a favorable verdict, a recommendation, or the removal of a documented disadvantage.

Our editorial commitment: We do not sell placements or sponsored comparisons. An affiliate relationship is never a reason to change a product specification, adjust a scoring weight, exclude a stronger competitor, or declare a winner.

How affiliate links support Versuscope

Researching specifications, checking sources, developing comparison tools, and maintaining a website require time and resources. Affiliate commissions are one way Versuscope can help cover those costs.

A product link may take you to Amazon or another retailer. If that link qualifies under the retailer's affiliate program and you complete an eligible purchase, Versuscope may receive a commission. Not every link earns a commission, and a click alone does not necessarily result in payment.

Affiliate arrangements concern how the website is funded. They do not establish whether a product is suitable for you or deserves a higher ranking.

How we keep comparisons independent

Products are chosen for relevance

Comparison subjects and pairings are determined by their relevance to readers and to the stated buying decision. The existence or size of an affiliate opportunity is not an editorial selection criterion.

Claims must have supporting evidence

Our research prioritizes manufacturer specifications, official documentation, recognized standards, and reliable independent technical evidence where useful. We distinguish confirmed facts from unknowns and from subjective qualities that specifications cannot establish.

Scoring follows the decision, not the commission

When a specification-based score is appropriate, relevant criteria receive weights according to their importance for the comparison. Affiliate arrangements do not form part of the scoring formula. A higher commission cannot increase a product's score.

We do not force a favorable verdict

Some comparisons favor one product, others depend on specific needs, and some do not have a meaningful winner. If the available evidence is insufficient, the conclusion should say so, even when affiliate links are available.

You can read more about our research approach and scoring rules in Our Scoring Methodology.

Affiliate links take you away from Versuscope to the retailer or service provider. That third party handles the transaction and sets its own terms for availability, delivery, returns, customer service, and privacy.

Our comparison can help you assess documented product differences, but it is not a guarantee of personal satisfaction or a promise about a retailer's service. You should check the seller's information and applicable terms before making a purchase.

Using an affiliate link is optional. You can make your decision based on the information provided and choose where, or whether, to buy.

Where affiliate disclosures appear

We aim to show a brief, clearly worded commission disclosure close to commercial product links on our comparison pages. This full disclosure page provides additional detail about those links and our editorial policy.

The presence of a retailer button or an affiliate link should not be interpreted as evidence that the retailer, manufacturer, or product brand sponsors, approves, or controls our comparisons.

Questions about our affiliate policy

Transparency matters to us. If you have a question about an affiliate link, believe a comparison needs correcting, or want to raise a concern about editorial independence, you can contact the Chief Editor directly by email.
